Celebrate Bouquet
Made this bouquet for a friend's 50th. A whole sheet of newspaper makes a flower big enough for an exterior decoration (see Nov. & Oct.). Play with center sizes and crape paper fringe. Glue stick, glue gun, printed papers and you are ready. Wrapping paper also makes a nice easy fold. Instead of bouquet try as a cake topper or gift tag.

Welcome Friends
Front Door Flowers. Decorations don't have to be expensive or plastic. Try these. I remember making/hanging these as grade school promotion decorations a few years back. We made them out of tissue paper. I saw a website that used newspaper and had to try it. Cute. Fun hostess gift. Picturing lime green, pink, white, and reds for the holidays. Hung or on a stick? Hmm. Make Your Message Rock
Found objects make great artsy gifts.Gather the rocks, mix up the colors and paint a set. The kids made a set for Grandma's birthday a few years back. I love it. We arrange the rocks on the table for decorations every year. Use inexpensive acrylic paints, foam brushes, and paint pens or sharpies. Great for garden art too.

Last Minute Gift

Photo Transfer Table Runner What do you give a girl who desires less gifts to dust and more time with family? Pictures and memories. This idea popped into my head the night before our trip. I used digital pictures and scanned a few oldies. After adding a some fun frame effects and grunge to the edges, I printed about 7 pages of photos onto transfer paper. I packed up the trimmed transfers and finished the ironing the day of the party. My sis was a big help with fringing and placement. Try this idea to make cloth napkins, a full sized table cloth, or banner. Include scanned artwork, old photos, or text to truly personalize it. I think this would work great as a holiday themed table piece too. Want to make a class of it? Contact Nancy.

Controling the Clutter
A Place for PaperPicking up and organizing toys used to be the challenge. The toddler variety with all the pieces of colored plastic was the worst. Nowadays my organizing nightmare is paper - school work, bills, tax stuff! Having things at my fingertips or by the phone is a necessity. If it's sittin' out and looking good, I have a lot less quilt about it! If you've been to scrapbook section of the craft store lately, you've noticed that paper has come a long way from barnyard motifs and plaids. U-pick the paper, I have the rest of the supplies.
