Templates are a nice way to get started. Get the template from Fizzy Pop here. I revised mine a bit...(Yep those frames from Shabbyblogs did make a nice brush.)

FYI Layer styles - size, distance, & opacity for shaded elements... All angle lighting @ 45 degrees.
Background Rectangle: 21, 18, 45
Vertical Rectangle: 25, 22, 40
Large Circle: 21, 15, 50
Small Circle: 18, 15, 55

Did you know you can copy & paste a layer style from one layer to another?  Right click on a layer for that.
